Job Title: Field Installation (12v) Technician, Fleet
Location: SouthEast region, 100% travel, Monday through Friday
Salary: $28-30/hr., travel expenses covered, (including meals – up to $100 per day), and the ability to expense mileage (as needed)
Position Overview
The Installation Technician has a customer-facing role with primary duties of deploying 12-volt technology solutions in fleet vehicles.
What you’ll do at Insight
- These technicians will be deploying 12-volt technology solutions in fleet vehicles.
- They will also go through training for proper installation and use of our client’s hardware & software.
- Provide your own tools EG: (wrenches, sockets, wire cutters/strippers, portable soldering iron, portable drill, etc.)
- Demonstrate competence in troubleshooting which includes use of tools such as a multimeter
- Be comfortable working with vehicle electrical systems and know the basics of working safely around 12-volt technology.
- Know proper methods of soldering electrical wires and crimp connections
- Strong acumen for network cabling and network devices (basic networking principles)
- Cradle point router or equivalent configuration knowledge a plus
- Experience working in cars, SUVs or RV/Campers
- Reliable personal transportation
- Work both independently and in a team

Travel Requirements
This role requires 100% travel, in and out of state, often spending 3-4 nights per week away from home for assignments where it is not practical to drive and work an 8 hour shift. Likely the candidate will be away for a 5-day work week (Monday through Friday).
