DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Cornerstone Building Brands Logistics Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to proactively drive best practices and innovation opportunities within our PlyGem business unit, but ultimately supporting our entire private fleet network comprised of over 650 power units across the United States.

This position will work closely with customers, sales, and operations to optimize the delivery network’s efficiency, reduce logistics costs, and improve the customer experience. The Cornerstone Building Brands Logistics Supervisor will assist leading the development and implementation of evolutionary fleet management concepts and support daily operational requirements and solutions.

  • Guide and promote fleet safety and compliance by developing standards, policies procedures, and programs to eliminate, prevent or control accidents, hazardous conditions or behaviors and foster a culture of compliance and safe operation within region
  • Collaborate with senior management, location managers, supervisors, and employees to achieve fleet compliance
  • Coordinate efforts with Human Resources, Accounting, and other Administrative support staffs to best monitor and track procurement and movement of all fleet within the company
  • Ensure fleet program is fully complying with US DOT, State and local laws and regulations
  • Manage data collection for operational and financial reporting
  • Manage data collection for compliance, mileage, and tax fillings, as required by federal, state, and local regulations
  • Independently develop strategies to improve logistical efficiencies and work with operations teams to ensure successful deployment of developed strategies
  • Champion customer solutions related to logistics and quickly communicated issues and opportunities to improve customer relationships
  • Positively impact fleet accident and injury rates through cooperative programs and training
  • Actively participate in driver retention and recruiting, leading the process, collaborating with both Talent Acquisition and local Human Resources
  • Consistently ensure that area job responsibilities are promptly and efficiently carried out and nurture a high level of leadership and team performance
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Commitment to the future state vision; ability to display and generate excitement regarding new initiatives
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation/Logistics or other business-related discipline is required
  • Five (5) plus years of progressive logistics experience
    • Experience in all facets of fleet safety and compliance: FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and state regulations
    • Experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, materials management, regulatory compliance, cross-functional teams, project management, change management, and fleet management
    • Working knowledge of all modes of transportation inclusive of a private fleet, materials management, loading practices, and inventory control
  • Three (3) plus years in a lead or supervisory role
  • Ability to measure, track, visually communicate, and improve delivery efficiency and capacity using a daily continuous improvement methodology
  • Highly organized and results-driven
  • Encompass strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and innovative thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization – from plant level employee to corporate executives

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 to $105,000 + STIP 5% + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
