Position Summary
Our client is an administrative support provider for real estate management and mortgage servicing entities.
The company assists these entities in staffing, accounting and general administrative support, allowing smaller entities to function efficiently
and with reduced overhead.
The client supports a wide variety of businesses in the real estate entity with a focus on mortgage servicing as well as property renovation and management entities.
Foreclosure Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Manage a high-volume caseload of nationwide foreclosure matters with outside counsel,
including managing any bankruptcy filings and/or eviction proceedings post-foreclosure.
• Regularly communicate with outside counsel and internal departments relating to legal matters
and individual files in the legal process.
• Provide accurate reporting to management and ensure that case management system is up to
date for all active matters.
• Assist with referrals, case transfers, analysis and/or regular review, as needed.
• Review legal invoices and communicate with outside counsel regarding issues with files and/or
billing.
• Assist with projects, as needed.
Requirements:
• Paralegal certification preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience in foreclosure, eviction, mortgage serving or other related field
• Firm understanding of mortgage, title and/or foreclosure.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize tasks to ensure completion on or ahead
of deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to effectively communicate verbally and in
writing with outside counsel, internal departments, and management.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
