What is the role?
The FP&A and Accounting Manager will report directly to the CFO and advise executive leadership on critical financial decisions. Initially, this role will require a significant amount of hands-on work, but with ample prospects for progress and growth over time. Main responsibilities will include annual budget, long range plan, monthly variance analysis, special modelling, GAAP accounting, auditing, month end close, international consolidation, financial reporting, ERP system integration, tax, and implementing scalable systems and processes to support our continued global expansion.
The successful candidate will have experience managing FP&A and accounting in an international and production environment and an eagerness to solve challenging problems, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations in a dynamic environment.
What you will do:
• Fully in charge of global annual budget, long range plan, monthly budget vs actual variance analysis, and special modelling and analysis
• Act as the main contributor to get historical financials ready for auditing and assist with auditing
• Assist with monthly close and financial reporting
• Assist with EPR system integration
• Manage federal, state and international tax compliance processes
• Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff
• Effectively manage key service providers, including external auditors, banks, tax firms, payroll providers, etc.
• Assist in developing and implementing goals, policies and procedures for accounting and financial management
• Interact with cross-functional colleagues and executives to provide meaningful information to evaluate operations and plans
• Special projects as needed
Must have:
• You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
• You have 8+ years of relevant experience
• You have extensive experience with FP&A
• You have solid GAAP accounting knowledge
• You have a solid work ethic, strong execution capabilities & a can-do attitude
Additional experience we would like to see:
• Experience with auditing
• Experience with tax returns
• Previous major ERP system integration experience
• You have experience in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of cost accounting
• Big 4 or other major CPA firm experience is a big plus
• Work experience in space, aerospace and telecommunications sectors &/or start-up environment(s)
• Proven ability to implement scalable processes and systems in a high-growth corporate environment
• Understanding of IFRS accounting principles, along with proper control structures for US/European entities
$130,000 – $160,000 a year
The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position in question, which is based on market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, depth of relevant experience, and other relevant factors.
