FP&A Assistant Manager
New York, New York
As an FP&A Assistant Manager at Richemont you will be responsible for supporting the financial outlook (actuals, budget, forecasts, variances) of our newest jewellery Maison, Buccellati and our Richemont Regional functions. This support includes analysis to explain underlying business dynamics plus reporting and commenting on results. In addition, you will develop relationships with the brand and functional teams locally and centrally to learn the specifics of each department as a foundation for enhanced partnership, collaboration and growth. As a member of the FP&A team, you will also support various cross brand initiatives such as internal controls review and communication.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills with significant interaction amongst key stakeholders across the organization, locally as well as centrally. Based in Shelton or New York and reporting into the Richemont FP&A Director, this role provides broad exposure to Richemont and key decision-making processes across multiple departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate monthly close process by collaborating with business partners, managing deadlines and ensuring accurate financial results.
- Track spending by project vs budget and liaise with brand teams for transparency. Identify and communicate potential issues.
- Provide timely variance analysis to business partners highlighting potential risks and opportunities. Work with business partners to frame the financial impact and communicate up through the financial organization.
- Prepare and distribute month-end reporting to senior and executive management.
- Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support broader finance team as needed.
- Work closely with department heads to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts along with preparation of comprehensive budget presentations.
- Develop objective, driver-based forecast models used for budgeting and/or for decision-support analysis.
- Identify and track key performance metrics to become the subject matter expert on the health of our business. Engage with business partners frequently on analysis to answer pertinent business questions, providing insights and recommendations where possible.
- Support FP&A Director with special projects for strategic decision-making (e.g., “what if” strategic analysis, global business forecasting).
- Key point of contact for invoice coding, non-stock purchase order use, etc.
- Key advocate for monitoring, performing and communicating internal controls
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other relevant field
- 4-6 years of accounting / financial experience, preferably in a corporate environment
Technical / Personal Skills
- Experience with SAP
- Background in accounting and finance principles
- Strong PC skills, including extensive knowledge of MS Excel, Analysis and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Curious nature with ability to be proactive, problem-solve and adapt to change
- Abilty to work both independently and as a team player, comfortable taking on big and small tasks alike
