Description

Mission: The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide for the needs of our communitythrough selfless service under the sign of love.

Summary: The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact that a visitor has when they arrive to Catholic Charities and is responsible for assisting the organization with a variety of daily tasks to ensue successful operations in all areas. The Front Desk Receptionist works closely with the Chief Administrative Officer and the Executive leadership to perform tasks necessary for continued operations – Mission Advancement, Administration, and Programs. The individual should be organized, positive, takes initiative, and can handle multiple and varied tasks at a time.

Position Responsibilities:

  • *Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
  • *Assist visitors by answering or referring inquiries professionally and courteously.
  • *Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories.
  • *Perform basic data entry when needed.
  • *Maintain reception area clean and organized.
  • *Receive and sort daily mail and delivery packages.
  • *Responsible for processing donations by receiving, writing In-Kind form for donor, and inputting In-Kind data.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education
    • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a professional administrative or related capacity.
  • License and Credentials
    • Reliable transportation
    • Valid driver license, with clear driving record

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in professional/administrative work including answering and screening phone calls, and customer service.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Outlook)
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
  • Must have good written and verbal skills;
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
