Our client is seeking a Full Cycle Medical Biller to support their department. This is a contract to hire role, offering $16-$18 hourly, and is on a 5 day in office work schedule.

Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73134
Hours: 8:30-5
Pay Rate Range: $ 16 – $ 18 / hour
Job Duties:
Billing and Claims Follow-Up
- Works with all areas of the organization in getting any necessary or requested documentation for patients, insurance carriers or other areas.
- Access payer websites and clearinghouse to confirm insurance information and status of claims
- Initiates contact with patients and/or third party carriers if there is a delay in responding to statements or claims
- Process incoming and outgoing mail in timely manner
- Receives incoming telephone calls and resolve issues communicated
- Records results of mail and telephone contacts on the computer billing system
- Contacts insurance carriers regarding nonpayment and/or improper payment of claims
- Reviews denials and works or escalates appropriately
- Interfaces with patients, physicians, and others regarding professional billing operations
Collections
- Answers patient’s questions regarding statements
- Handles correspondence regarding collection activity and records results
- Identify patient accounts for collection action when accounts become delinquent or when unable to contact patient or responsible party
- Receive patient payments and/or issue payment receipts
- Handles bankruptcy notifications and marks accounts appropriately
Payment posting
- Downloads, imports, and reviews ERA payments from clearinghouse
- Post receipts to proper patient accounts
- Posts denials
- Compare batch proofs and source documents for accuracy
- Assists in reviewing and balancing transaction reports for administration
- Reconciles daily receivables reports
Credit balance resolution
- Review accounts receivable credit balance reports
- Prepare refund check requests
- Prepare other daily credit balances other than refunds
- Post refund checks to patient accounts
Qualifications:
- Insurance and patient collections experience
- Neurosurgery, orthopedic, or pain management preferred
