We are actively hiring a Full Stack Technical Lead who would like to join in building the future of our Pershing’s Finance Service and Quality team based in Woodland Park, NJ, – HYBRID

Our team is undergoing a large technology and business modernization transforming a number of legacy systems, and manual processes onto a modern cloud-native architecture that enables our Finance and Treasury users to eliminate all of the User Defined Technology that has been deployed over the years. The overall goal is to greatly reduce risk and improve operational efficiency for the entire finance division.

We are looking for passionate and driven candidate who can actively participate in such an effort.

The role offers opportunities to learn about our core business deeply along with applying the technology and architecture patterns to enable such a ground up build and integration.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provide technical leadership in architecture and system design for a SCRUM team, on large scale development efforts
  • Consulting with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support.
  • Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs.
  • Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs.
  • Takes lead for establishing, implementing, and monitoring ‘best practices’ for technical development methodologies and tools.
  • Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience with leading a SCRUM team in architecture and system design for large scale development
  • Core Java, J2EE, Spring boot, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Data (JPA) framework, Spring Batch
  • Angular, AngularJS
  • Rest services, JMS, Hibernate, JSON, XML
  • Web services, HTML5,
  • Oracle, SQL, DB
  • Experience with Microservices Architecture, Agile Development Methodology, Scalable High Resiliency Systems, Workflow (JBPM) and Decision Management Systems
  • Experience with high volume over batch processing in a distributed environment preferred
  • Experience with Apache Hadoop, HBase, Spark, MongoDB, Kafka, Hive, Spark Streaming, Shell Script
  • Agile Development experience, SDLC Tools
  • Knowledge of mainframe platforms and/or prior experience porting applications from mainframe to distributed platform is highly preferred
  • BI business Intelligent Tool experience is a plus

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $130,000 and $190,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
