MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
The City of Charleston, IL is accepting applications for (1) full time position to work in the Maintenance Department. Duties of this position will include being a general laborer of facility maintenance and janitorial duties in City parks and on grounds as well as a variety of other duties. Position is scheduled Monday – Friday and seasonally works every other Sunday. Hours are 7am-3:30pm.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Illinois driver’s license. Base level starting salary is between $19.31 per hour ($20.44 after 6 months). Excellent benefits package includes sick, holiday and personal days, IMRF pension, and medical insurance options. The successful candidate must reside within 20 miles of Charleston City Hall and complete a pre-employment drug test and background screening.
