You’ll have an opportunity to work on world-class programs such as Orion, SBIRS, GPS-III, Commercial Vehicles, Deep Space Exploration, Classified Special Programs.
Within these Programs, you will participate in the design, development, verification and deployment of complex new software. You will utilize your previous software experience, and/or skills, to develop and maintain software using the following languages and technologies; C++, Java, Python, Big Data, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Embedded systems
Candidate will support the THAAD interceptor flight software (FSW) team for the analysis, design, and test of the embedded flight software. Primary responsibility is to support embedded flight software and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) testbed development. Responsibilities include software architecture and design definition, integration, implementation and test, flight software design description, algorithm/software requirements definition, and support for HWIL testing. Demonstrated experience with FSW architectures and deployment in missile, spacecraft, or avionics application is highly desired. The candidate must function well in a creative, high-tempo, collaborative, cross-functional, dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment.
Typically has 5 – 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
– An Active Secret Clearance is Required for this role
– Full software lifecycle development experience
– Object oriented design and C++ experience
– Scripting and embedded software development experience
Desired Skills:
– A strong background in Linux and VxWorks operating systems
– A strong background in embedded SW architecture
– Good communication skills, both oral and written
– Experience in software development and testing
– Extensive experience in C++ programming
– Experience with Perl, Python, XML, shell, etc.
– Understands the intricacies of compiling/linking large software simulations (Using and editing Makefiles)

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $98,800 – $186,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
