POSITION SUMMARY
The Fundraising Development Coordinator supports the implementation of efforts to raise money in support of Donor Network West. The qualified candidate must possess the ability to compassionately communicate Donor Network West’s mission to friends, donors, and the community at large. Developing relationships with donors is essential.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement specific plans for the solicitation and stewardship of individual and corporate donors at all levels of giving.
- Assist in the planning and execution of donor events and other activities.
- Effectively utilize donor management software to accurately record donor activity and other relevant data in a timely fashion.
- Timely and accurate processing of gifts, acknowledgments, and reporting on fundraising results.
- In coordination with the marketing team, create and produce fundraising materials, including brochures, direct mail, press releases, advertisements, newsletters, proposals, annual reports, correspondences, etc.
- Manages day-to-day operations of the Foundation office – opens mail, answers telephone, manages general correspondence, maintains files, submits check requests.
- Prepares for board and committee meetings – sends meeting notices, prepares meeting material, orders food, takes minutes.
- Perform other tasks, as assigned or appropriate to achieve Donor Network West’s fundraising goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, Public Relations, or related field, preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in development, fundraising, sales or marketing at a non-profit organization, required.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with donor database management, Excel and mass email providers.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, andPowerPoint.
- Must have the ability to travel within the DNWest’s service area by car. Must maintain a valid California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance based on California minimum insurance coverage standards.
$28.46 – $34.85 an hour
