About the Role
As the GAME DIRECTOR reporting directly to the CEO, you will spearhead the development of both systems and content for our ambitious Project Kyzen game. You will orchestrate the alignment of the game’s vision in collaboration with our Narrative, Engineering, and Art teams.
You will own of the crucial task of providing feedback and creating comprehensive documentation for external development teams, which includes outsourced engineers and level designers. Your aim here is to ensure that the work undertaken by these teams aligns seamlessly with our overarching product vision.
Furthermore, you will work with the Production department to craft a dynamic and realistic schedule for the introduction of new features and content updates. Your efforts will contribute to maintaining a fast-paced yet achievable development timeline.
Another pivotal aspect of your role is to ensure that our Marketing Department is well-informed about the product, armed with all the necessary insights to effectively engage our target audience. You will also collaborate with our Business Development team to equip them with the information required to pitch our game to potential partners and, crucially, deliver on our commitments.
Above all else, your mission will be to passionately drive forward a creative game vision that culminates in a unique and empowering experience for players, one that fully embodies the values of Impact Theory.
Please note this position is an on-site role, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday.Your Responsibilities
- Identify, communicate, and champion the vision of the game.
- Drive development of content and systems that build upon the game vision.
- Coordinate content development among in-house and external teams.
- Communicate the game vision to other stakeholders, such as marketing and business teams.
- Manage the internal Game Design department.
Requirements
- 5+ years as a Lead or or Director for game development.
- Multiple shipped game titles.
- In-depth understanding of Unreal Engine development and production pipeline.
- Experience managing a live-service game a plus.
- Ability to work at the HQ office, 5 days a week, in West Hollywood, CA

Compensation for this position is between $175k/annually to $230k/annually, based on experience.
