Garrett Advancing Motion’s Electric Center of Excellence (eCOE) is looking for a Validation Test Engineering Intern to support development of high-speed electric turbochargers, turbo compressors and motor controllers. This is based in Torrance, CA.

Within this internship you will work on electric product testing for Garrett and do the following:
- Develop testing plans
- Define testing requirement
- Perform testing
- Data analysis
- Write test instruction
REQUIRED BACKGROUND
- Student in last year of Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics with focus on Validation and Testing
- Basic Understanding of Laboratory test setups
- Knowledge with design tools appropriate for the field (3D CAD tools, Excel).
- Use computer-assisted equipment.
- Duration: 5-6 months
- Understanding or usage of LabVIEW, CANoe or CANape to command motor controller.
- Understanding or knowledge in DAQ systems including instrumentation, hardware and software integration.

Pay Range
The pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $25 an hour
Maximum: $45 an hour
