Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Harvesting logs and usage data from 1000+ GCP projects to support usability and operational dashboards
- Design solutions and modernization big solutions on GCP cloud integrating native GCP services and 3rd party technologies
- Lead, support, and manage existing applications while developing new deliverables on GCP
Position Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience
Required Technical Skills:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Development in Cloud Run/Cloud Function
- Cloud PubSub integration
- BigQuery development/operations
- Cloud Logging/Monitoring principles/operations
- IAM
- SQL
- CI/CD on Google Cloud
- Terraform development
- Knowledge of Dataflow is a plus
- Programming languages: Python – expert level and knowledge of Java is a plus
- Experience with large-scale solutions and operationalization of data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms on GCP
Industry Knowledge:
- Knowledge of coding best practices and production code standards
- The ability to quickly propose GCP-based solutions by recalling the latest best practices learned from Google documentation whitepapers and community publications is required.
Relationship Building
- A proven track record of building deep technical relationships.
- Experience in aligning expectations across teams and vendors
- Problem-Solving:
- Must be able to trace and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and implementing business workflows is a plus
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $79,800- $102,200 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
