Insight Global is in search of a Geotechnical Engineer with a PE to work in Florida, ideally in Tampa but flexible on location. This position would be working to heavily on mining and commercial proejcts, some power and utilities projects. The ideal candidate will:
* Direct and execute Geotechnical project assignments including field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, and report preparation.
* Provide quality control review of proposals and reports and direct operations in a manner to consistently meet commitments to the clients.
* Actively participate and direct business development and marketing efforts while establishing and maintaining client relationships.
* Mentor and manage junior staff and project level geotechnical professionals through project performance.
* Actively participate in relationship building with professional and technical organizations.
This position would be focused on engineering analysis, reporting, proposals, with the majority of the work being from the office. Strong analytical skills are required in areas including:
* Soil and rock classification,
* Slope stability analysis,
* Earth retention systems,
* Shallow and deep foundation design,
* Construction support
* Soil improvement techniques
Required Skills & Experience
– 5-14 years expereince within Geotechnical (soil and Rock classification, slope stability, earth retention systems, etc.)
o 4 years within Florida (understand local regulations etc.)
– Must have Valid P.E. within Florida
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
– Experience with energy, mining, and/or heavy commercial sectors highly desired
– Experience with business development and ability to bring a book of business
– Project Management experince
