We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director, Communications and Engagement within a key growth area for EY – Client Technology. Fueled by EY’s US$1 billion investment in technology and innovation, the Client Technology team help clients harness emerging technology to power business transformation, drive growth and solve their most pressing issues.

The opportunity

Working as part of the Client Technology (CT) Communications and Engagement team, you will support communications strategy development and delivery designed to build awareness, understanding, trust and credibility across our Client Technology function, including EY teams, contractors and vendor partners.

You’ll help create a connected employee experience for our people in Client Technology that aligns with the mission, vision and priorities of the Client Technology function within EY. A key component of the connected employee experience centers on programs and interventions designed to help our people grow their careers and take advantage of a variety of Talent-driven initiatives while continuing to grow our culture of belonging so that our people feel they can bring their whole selves to work.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with the global Client Technology Talent team to develop engaging and inspiring communications and innovative campaigns that:
    • Promote learning and development opportunities to ensure our technologists stay at the forefront of their field and support innovation in Client Technology.
    • Attract and retain tech talent through a powerful employee value proposition and by showcasing technology career paths.
    • Recognize and promote the achievements of CT people, teaming and collaboration to reinforce the EY culture and values and foster a sense of belonging and inclusion.
    • Create strong partnerships between CT teams and vendor contractors.
    • Deliver a strong onboarding experience to Client Technology
  • Develop and implement communications to support organizational change, ranging from simple organization announcements to strategic change programs with complex messaging and stakeholders.
  • Ensure our 500-strong CT Leadership community feel empowered and enabled to engage their teams in our CT strategy and the role they play and promote EY values and culture.
  • Measure reach and effectiveness of communications and report quarterly to senior stakeholders on the impact of communications activities on culture and engagement.
  • Support the broader Client Technology communications strategy, planning and execution for Client Technology priorities, and produce communications on a range of topics that contribute to these priorities.
  • Provide communications counsel on best practices, cadence, cascade, timing and channels to enable successful deployment of internal programs.

Skills and attributes for success

We’re looking for an experienced, highly collaborative and creative team player who will bring passion and enthusiasm to the role while also sharing their deep communications expertise.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent area of study).
  • 10+ years’ experience in internal communications for a global organization and/or similar sized complex organization.
  • 10+ years’ experience in communications strategy development and implementation.
  • A strong knowledge of digital communications channels and experience of developing multi-media assets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Extensive communication experience including stakeholder management, development of communications strategies and plans, and a diverse range of communications expertise tactics such as integrated communications, content generation, supporting leadership communications and events, and consultative skills.
  • High level of influencing and networking skills across all levels of stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, demonstrated reliability and self-initiative.
  • Stakeholder management: experience understanding, aligning and proactively resolving a wide range of issues at the most senior levels within a large, matrix organization.
  • Business acumen: Demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities concerning global business fundamentals, business models, ethics, competitive analysis and cross cultural/geographical sensitivities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into simple, high impact messages

What we offer

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary range/s.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $101,900 to $184,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,300 to $210,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
