Responsibilities

IGT is seeking a highly skilled, enthusiastic communications strategist to join our team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Communications, based in Providence, RI.

As a part of our Global Communications team, this position will support IGT’s worldwide public relations initiatives, which will include work for our Global Lottery and Sustainability teams. You’ll have the unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with many internal stakeholders in marketing, operations and human resources, as well as IGT customers and senior executives from around the world to:
• Develop communications plans and execute campaigns for sustainability achievements and certifications, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and annual sustainability activities such as Global Giving Month.
• Provide significant communications support for the annual IGT Sustainability Report.
• Draft news releases related to our Global Lottery vertical and Global Sustainability achievements.
• Develop strategic public relations activities for IGT Global Lottery products and solutions.
• Generate positive media coverage in B2B and B2C outlets that inspires player excitement for IGT games and services
• Identify new, exciting ways to increase internal and public awareness of IGT’s global leadership in sustainability
• Incorporate IGT’s Sustainable Play™ brand throughout a variety of internal and external communications including social media, websites, editorials and awards programs.
• Take ownership of communications initiatives, demonstrating your ability to initiate ideas, sell them internally in a matrixed organization and drive them to measurable results.

• Can take complex material and distill it to easily digestible and understandable information to a variety of audiences.
• Has media relations experience and can identify and develop unique news hooks to maintain positive relationships with media.
• Exhibits good judgement and strategic thinking, as this role is highly visible internally and externally.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, with emphasis in Journalism, Communications or related discipline
• 6+ years of experience in public relations, marketing communications or corporate communications
• Understanding of sustainability, ESGs and corporate communications fundamentals
• Exceptional attention to detail, ability to problem solve and think independently and strategically
• Experience contributing to projects and collaborating at all levels of an organization and across geographies
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and team orientation
• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• A high degree of integrity and confidentiality

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $58,100 – $113,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
