Position summary

The Market Development Manager will lead in the development and execution of multi-channel marketing plans to drive growth and awareness for our Transplant Diagnostics product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and a deep understanding of the Transplant Diagnostics. This role is a highly visible role and will contribute greatly to the overall success of the Transplant Diagnostics business within the Specialty Diagnostics Group. This is an exciting and evolving market that requires dynamic and adaptable marketing efforts.

As the marketing subject matter expert, the ability to facilitate alignment, effectively articulate strategy, and collaborate across functions for executional excellence is critical for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic, multi-channel integrated marketing plans for areas of responsibility including competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, and staging and pacing of marketing tactical programs.
  • Lead the development of messaging and creative content for specified applications and workflows for customers, conveying strong value propositions and clear product differentiation.
  • Acquire, cultivate, and maintain customer advocates and identify collaboration opportunities to drive application content development; leverage partners to champion our solutions.
  • Collaborate and ensure alignment of marketing plans among Product Management, Global Marketing, R&D, Commercial Leaders, and other collaborators.
  • Maintain campaign metrics dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing development activities.
  • Propose and execute on customer and market research programs to provide key market insights and actionable business outcomes.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant course of study required
  • MBA and/or additional advanced degree is strongly preferred, but not required

Experience

  • Extensive Market Development experience with strong understanding of life sciences market, preferably within the transplant diagnostics market segment.
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience with proven success in both strategic and tactical marketing required.
  • Demonstrate experience in marketing strategy development and execution.
  • Product launch experience highly desired.

  • Collaborative. Ability to work across a heavily matrixed environment.
  • Self-motivated and a driving force in their current or past organizations.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage short term deliverables concurrent with longer-term strategic achievements
  • Ability to influence across the organization at all levels, including previous experience in a highly matrixed, global organization would be preferred
  • Executive presence; Strong presentation skills
  • Travel: 25+% (primarily domestic/US travel).

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00-$154,700.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
