Position Description:

The Production Support Analyst will be working on the Global PayPlus payment processing application. This role offers a highly visible and challenging environment working directly with the client, interacting with multiple teams, and various technologies. You will be able to work on an existing Global PayPlus implementation that supports production. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, high proficiency, and the ability to quickly adapt and contribute to a constantly evolving application.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Understand the Global PayPlus Bank implementation, production and provide application support.
• Possess an in-depth understanding of Global PayPlus, database tables, application architecture and end-to-end application processing with interfacing systems.
• Proactively acknowledge, analyze, and identify root causes for production issues whilst reducing client impact
• Identify areas of improvements in existing GPP implementation architecture.
• Build ad-hoc database scripts and operational procedures for production issue resolutions.
• Work with onsite development team and vendors to analyze and recreate production issues.
• Provide Level 3 application support and on-call Rotation on weekly basis to perform day to day activities
• Receive and acknowledge tickets within then service Incident priority assessment, triaging and resolution within resolution SLA’s
• Application monitoring and preventive maintenance
• Health Checks and Status reporting on Daily basis
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production application defects involving GPP
• Identify root cause and devise and implement permanent solutions to recurring defects
• Work with GPP Vendors in creating defects and providing traces, issue recreation steps.
• Participate and support application upgrades / patches, infrastructure maintenance validation
• Identify and Propose process improvements and application monitoring enhancements.
• Support disaster recovery and business resiliency testing / validation.
• Assist clients in Audit reviews and to produce Audit related reports.
• Support LOB/operations on day-to-day GPP issues, inquiries, concerns and GPP procedures.
• Create optimal Global PayPlus queries for reports requested by Audit, Ops, LOB and Change teams.
• Support Risk management (vulnerabilities, patches)
• Monitor production jobs, environments using monitoring tools.
Production Enhancements:
• Understand existing GPP rules and configurations, SQL queries and services utilized in production and propose enhancements as necessary for achieving better performance.
• Identify any GAPs in existing RTB or Ops procedures and update the procedures accordingly.
• Assist Change team in recreating issues and performing hot fixes in QA environment.
• Follow Bank standards and release management procedures and approvals for any changes.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 7+ years of experience in a development or support role
• Proficient in GPP SP 5.0 / 4.6 or similar payment processing engine
• Writing and understanding Oracle SQL queries
• Unix (Basic skills to perform triages, create scripts for automation etc.)
• Java/J2EE with good understanding of OOP concepts
• Web services, MQ, NDM etc.
• XML, SWIFT, ISO20022, FED, TCH, SEPA and other proprietary formats.
• WAS Deploy and Configuration knowledge is a plus!
Domain:
• Payments Domain and concepts of payment processing systems.
• Knowledge on Clearing Systems and payment processing chain.
• Knowledge of Real-time Payments, FED, SWIFT, TCH payment processing flows.
• ISO20022 standard payments messages, SWIFT and FED messages is great to have!

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 – $165,300.
