Global Program Manager, DC Security

AWS Infrastructure Physical Security team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Global Program Manager who will take a lead role in managing our Contract Guard Force (CGF) program. The role is focused specifically on the management of our CGF vendors and may include continuous improvement efforts due to changes in process or procedure that raise the security bar. You will define the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the CGF program and develop the mechanism to measure these. These KPIs will facilitate data driven decisions for optimizations, cost saving opportunities, and service delivery requirements. This role is critical to informing the organization on how well our CGF vendors are performing and securing our data centers.

Key job responsibilities

– Define and standardize the qualitative and quantitative KPIs that measure CGF vendor performance and development of reporting mechanisms; continuously assess these KPIs as processes and risk profiles change

– Develop mechanisms and reporting to centralize CGF metrics and data; use data to make recommendations based on trends and areas of opportunities

– Support and validate financial models used to develop CGF models, optimizations, and opportunities

– Review vendors for contract compliance and training compliance

– Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective solutions and deliver results on time

– Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners and vendors

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 2+ years of experience in program or project management

– Experience solving business problems to drive process improvements

– Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions; experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and identify meaningful observations

– Global experience or demonstrated ability to solve problems on a broad scale

– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– BA/BS degree or higher business administration, finance, math or a related field

– Passion for financial operations

– Experience with building financial models, professional experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable position

– Ability to interpret and execute program objectives and the compilation of and adherence to project timetables

– Excellent oral and written communication skills

– PMP Certification or familiarity with continuous improvement, project management principles, Kaizen Six Sigma

– Background in any of the following: Physical Security Operations, Physical Security Design, or Security Systems Deployment

– Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $87,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
