PSeeds Wilderness Therapy (Seeds) works with families with troubled teens. We take teens on an intensive 10-week backpacking experience. The process includes what we refer to as Retreat, Restore, Revive. Seeds is distinctly Christian and as such combines the best practices in wilderness therapy with the teachings of Jesus and solid discipleship.
The role will involve transporting students, staff, gear/supplies, to and from the field, packing food, washing laundry, participating in student intake, and a variety of other logistics-related activities.
Reports directly to the Logistics Manager. We are hoping to hire 3 individuals to work one or two days a week and be on call for emergencies.
The duties and expectations include:
- Participate in regular staff training throughout the year.
- Meet, greet, assist and transport the new students arriving into the program.
- Transports clients and/or employees adhering to state and federal law and established company transportation policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Conducts vehicle maintenance and safety inspections, reporting immediately any vehicle safety concerns.
- Collaborates and participates as a team member.
- Participates in food packing.
- Helps wash laundry as required.
- Participates in WAG bag tracking and pick up, cleaning duties as assigned, and recognized and addresses cleaning, garbage removal, and recycling daily.
- Supports the field staff by assembling gear, supplies, etc, and transport in a timely manner.
- Assist the Logistics manager with shopping and/or purchasing/pick up of food or supplies.
- Count and record inventory as directed.
- Participate in daily prayer and staff devotions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Off-road experience (preferred).
- Ability to read maps and use a GPS, compass.
- Experience driving vehicles with manual transmissions and 4×4 locking hubs(preferred).
- Excellent Customer Service.
Qualifications
- 21 or older and can pass CO background check.
- Valid, clean driving record.
- Fluent English – both oral and written
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs, and be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and to be able to lift, bend, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift and grasp.
- Must be able to stand up and move around most of the workday
