What you can expect as a Go-To-Market Business Development Leader:

As RPX’s first GTM Business Development Leader, this role will be instrumental in leading the product launch of RPX EMPOWER. Your focus will be to increase customer engagement and adoption, and substantially expand our subscriber base to operating companies, service providers, law firms, and others within the patent ecosystem.
In this role, you will:

  • Help refine and prioritize market segments for outreach
  • Craft and deliver presentations that highlight our products strengths and its unique capabilities
  • Attend relevant events and assist in booth duty, setting up products, presenting, etc.
  • Actively participate in product strategy, product roadmap, and feature prioritization decisions
  • Ensure continuing growth in subscribers with the objective of making RPX EMPOWER a leading product in the marketplace
  • Occasional travel may be required

Do you have the experience to join our team?
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or legal background with emphasis on intellectual property
  • Demonstrated experience developing, marketing, or selling Patent related Software and/or Services
  • Proven experience in product management, evangelism, marketing, customer success, or business development roles
  • Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to communicate sophisticated technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of intellectual property concepts specifically related to the patent domain
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective strategies to resolve them
  • Experience working with products that involve big data, AI/ML/NLP, predictive analytics

In compliance with CA Pay Transparency, the RPX base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $185,000 with a target budgeted salary of $125,000 to $150,000 depending on skills and experience.
