POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is in the Office of General Services, Procurement Section. This is a full-time position that works closely with subject-matter experts to prepare and audit agency purchase requests, exceptional purchases and competitive purchase solicitations. This position requires the ability to work in a collaborative environment, perform research, collect data, and create procurement related documents for both internal and external customers. The position also requires excellent facilitation and customer service skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Serving as MyFloridaMarketPlace Ariba On Demand (MFMP/AOD) System Administrator;
- Auditing service requisitions in MFMP at a minimum to include a statement of work, deliverables, financial consequences and a cost analysis (for single sources) for procurements over $35k prior to approval of a purchase order;
- Creating purchase requisitions in MFMP;
- Processing single sources, exceptional purchases, and agency alternate contract source requests;
- Serving as Procurement Officer for competitive solicitations for all commodities; and
- Organizing pre-bid conferences and public meetings.
To be considered as a potential candidate, you must meet the minimum qualifications(s) listed below. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in planning, research and analysis, evaluation, or administrative work; or
- A high school diploma or its equivalent and seven years of experience in planning, research and analysis, evaluation, or administrative work; or
- Any combination of education or experience, as described above, for a total of seven years.
- A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.
Note: 30 semester hours, or equivalent, of coursework from an accredited college or university is equivalent to one year of experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of purchasing;
- Knowledge of the MyFloridaMarketPlace Ariba On Demand (MFMP/AOD) system;
- Knowledge of the Vendor Information Portal (VIP);
- Knowledge of FLAIR;
- Knowledge of Purchasing Card system;
- Knowledge of computer system concepts;
- Ability to research and analyze specifications, conditions and regulations pertaining to bids, contracts and/or prices;
- Ability to apply and implement rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to the purchasing process;
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
- Ability to work independently; and
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
BASE SALARY:
- $51,320.27
NOTES:
Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE’s pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
