GRANTS ADMINISTRATOR

The Grants Administrator is a highly motivated professional who will be partnering with the Senior Accountant to manage the grants administration and grants writing duties . Your primary responsibility will be grants administration, which mainly entails managing open grants and preparing grant applications for all departments. The Grants Administrator will write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals. The Grants Administrator will collaborate with various departments to assist with other projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for grants, program compliance, and related reporting.
  • Write, submit, and manage all grant proposals.
  • Oversee and assist with both pre-award and post-award activity for the assigned grant funding, including preparation of relevant planning documents, public hearings, council approvals, and meeting reporting requirements.
  • Conduct routine compliance reviews of active grant programs.
  • Coordinate between the Senior Accountant and Department Staff regarding all required grant reporting, including monitoring procurement and reimbursement requests, to the awarding agency and program implementation.
  • Maintains grant records in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and directions from funding authorities.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and Administration regarding the program and financial reporting process which includes, but not limited to, preparing weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports for the Executive Staff.
  • Protects the value by keeping sensitive information discrete and confidential.
  • Performs all other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Writing and research skills: capable of developing compelling narratives that integrate data into accurate responses to grant application criteria.
  • Communication and verbal skills to work successfully with municipal departments, state, and federal agency representatives and the public.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.
  • Planning and organizational abilities; multi-tasking, and analytical problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree in related field and/or at least three years relevant experience or equivalent in the government administration, program management, grants management or urban planning.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $64.00 per year
