Job Responsibilities
Reviews, analyzes, and submits federal grant applications and cooperative agreements. Ensures applications are reviewed and are complete prior to submission to grant awarding agencies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Knowledge of OMB’s Uniform Guidance 2 CFR 200, Single Audit, State and Federal grant
regulations.
• Knowledge of grant funding processes, reporting, and regulations.
• Provides technical assistance, advice, and guidance concerning the grant application
process.
• Tracks and maintains listing of all grant applications and programmatic submissions.
• Develops and disseminates federal memorandums, guidance, procedures, and federal
updates.
• Schedules and hosts pre-award meetings with programmatic staff to discuss new and
continuing applications.
• Provides innovative approach and improvements to the agency pre-award process.
• Reviews and routes grant submissions from programmatic staff for executive approval.
• Participates in department, agency, and other trainings to maintain professional
development.
• Develops and conducts training classes with staff, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, finance or related areas from an accredited college or university AND Three years of experience in grants management, public funds administration, accounting or a closely related area,
OR
One year of experience required at the lower level Grants Spec 3 (FIP052) or position equivalent.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

DPH accepts Educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
