Job Summary:
Are you ready for the fast-paced, high-volume world of professional sports? The River Cats are looking for a dynamic, driven, and skilled individual to work in our marketing department as a graphic design assistant. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter, able to work within tight deadlines that requires the ability to deliver timely and creative design solutions. The marketing department is responsible for all visual communications including motion graphics, website, digital and traditional advertising, print, signage, merchandise, sales collateral, and anything else you see the River Cats branding on.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with the creative aspects for all River Cats branding and marketing materials including but not limited to digital ads, videoboard content, flyers, posters, social media, sales sheets, and web graphics.
- Ensure that brand standards and guidelines are consistently adapted across all content.
- Lead on the design and updating of The Inside Pitch gameday program, while adhering to brand standards.
- Understand the River Cats brand essence and create and develop impactful artwork and design to help increase attendance, revenue, and enhance the fan experience.
- Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- At least 1-2 years of experience creating various types of media including digital and print. Preferably within a professional setting.
- Experienced in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. After Effects and Premiere Pro experience is a plus.
- Current Portfolio showcasing skills and recent work produced.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize workload, with on-time and high-quality delivery. Ability to work under tight/strict deadlines.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Must have good organizational, communication, and writing skills.
- Professional and positive attitude, ability to take direction and feedback from various sources.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- General knowledge of baseball
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent experience in place of degree can be considered.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
