Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of Brand Strategy, the Graphic Designer will concept and design creative digital solutions for Wisconsin Athletics social media, print and recruiting.
The Graphic Designer will:
* Collaborate with internal creative team to enhance the Wisconsin brand and tell the story of Badgers teams and athletes
* Creatively concept and design creative digital solutions including but not limited to: social graphics, logos, motion graphics, print assets, emails and animations
* Work on student-athlete and team promotional campaigns
* Apply and steward the Wisconsin brand standards
* Study industry trends to help keep the Badgers on the cutting edge of design
Responsibilities:
Conceptualizes, plans, and executes digital and/or print design to support the strategic objectives of the institution; creates on-brand, compelling visual assets used to inform, educate, inspire, and/or persuade.
- 60% Creates, designs, and produces artwork per project specifications through various mediums
- 5% Analyzes and identifies cost effective options to meet project requirements
- 5% Schedules logistics, secures resources, organizes, and monitors art production projects adhering to established timelines and expectations
- 10% Answers questions and provides information and problem resolution options to clients and stakeholders
- 10% Applies creative expertise within established brand and style guidelines
- 10% Works collaboratively with other creative professionals, engages in and responds to creative feedback, manages project workflow and timing, maintains files, and follows established work unit processes

Qualifications:
* Strong sense of creativity and eye for graphic design
* Knowledge of industry design trends
* Ability to develop and implement innovative design solutions across different platforms
* Ability to balance multiple projects and work on multiple sport brand teams
* Ability to work under time constraints and meet assigned deadlines
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and After Effects
* Willingness and ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends;
* Work well independently and in teams;
* Flexible in accepting new responsibilities

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
