The Role

Our TechMod group is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our journey. We’re looking for someone who is creative and self-motivated. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Sales team to create effective and eye-catching materials, such as proposals and campaigns to be delivered to clients.

The responsibilities of the Graphic Designer include conceptualizing visuals based on requirements, preparing a rough draft, gaining alignment, editing based upon feedback, and delivering within pre-defined timelines. This role can work within an accelerated time frame to meet proposal deadlines and must ensure the best-in-class response is complete, accurate, compliant, and well organized.

To be a successful graphics designer, you should have an excellent working knowledge of Power Point. A top-notch design consultant is creative with a strong understanding of colors, themes, and textures in addition to strong written communication. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workshops with clients to elicit requirements as the basis for creating business requirements documents and user stories
  • Reviewing the clients’ space, target audience, or website and evaluating their needs to build a successful deck
  • Designing and developing proposal decks from initial sales engagement, through design and contracting
  • Coordinate the internal work and information to be consolidated for a winning proposal deck
  • Establish project schedule, key milestones, and deliverables to ensure all projects are completed on time
  • Efficiently manage multiple, overlapping projects and deadlines and coordinate the flow of information from various department contributors to ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Visualize the strategic responses with the appropriate tone and solution, from the product sales specialists, relationship managers and the delivery team at large
  • Ensure proper and consistent messaging by proofing, editing, and rewriting all sections of the slide deck as required
  • Selecting color schemes, styles, themes, and layouts to bring the approved design deck to life
  • Escalate potential issues in a timely fashion, as needed
  • Ensuring that the clients’ message has been conveyed and sales specialist is satisfied with the end-product by preparing rough drafts and present ideas
  • Develop proposals, logos and other designs using software or by hand using the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
  • These associates develop a profound understanding of the Cognizant way, productive project collaboration skills and practice deliverables, collegial support and information-sharing practices, and exquisite client sensibilities

Qualifications

  • 2-5 + years working in technology, consulting, and / or professional services
  • A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience; coursework in business or technology will be helpful
  • Proven work experience as a Graphics Designer, Technical Designer, or a similar position in consulting
  • A portfolio of your designs is mandatory
  • Keen eye for detail with a demonstration of a strong knowledge of colors, layouts, and styles
  • Must have demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
  • Superior written and oral communication and grammatical skills
  • Communications or business writing experience preferred
  • Proficiency MS Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite including Photoshop
  • Travel Required: No

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[63,774 – 74,701] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
