Maintain assigned ENGIE solar site’s vegetation management processes. Provide maintenance and care of grounds and roads on large utility scale solar sites with the highest regard for health, safety and environment compliance. This position is in Rogers, TX.
*Must live within an hour of the site – ex. (Temple, Lott, Cameron, Morgan Point Resort, Salado, Fort Hood, Gause, Golinda, Lorena, Coupland, Serenada, Calvert, Hutto, Woodway, Hearne, Pflugerville, Riesel, Briggs, Windemere, Fort Gates, Wells Branch, Bertram, Paige, Camp Swift, China Spring, Elm Mott, Gholson, Volente)
What you’ll do:
- Ensure site safety rules are communicated and adhered to through Site Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Tailgate Meetings for all activities
- Operate tractor and mowing equipment to maintain grounds to keep the vegetation from shading solar panels
- Utilize hand-trimming equipment as necessary to support these activities
- Safe utilization of chemicals to facilitate weed removal and control
- Manage contractors to support groundskeeping activities as necessary
- Operate tractor and grading equipment to provide maintenance on roads and building areas
- Provide preventative maintenance and small maintenance activities on groundskeeping equipment and vehicles to ensure site equipment is kept at the highest possible standard maximizing availability and reliability.
- Perform equipment cleaning necessary to maintain in a clean and neat condition
- Travel to other Engie solar sites to perform groundskeeping tasks. Utilize truck and trailer to transport this equipment to other sites.
- Become a point of contact for all landowners
- Use computerized Work Order, Purchase Requisition and Receiving software
- Work to support solar technicians as necessary
- Carries out other duties as assigned
What you bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in using tractors and mowing equipment
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements and communicate effectively, both written and verbally
- Capacity to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
- Capable of frequently standing; walking; balancing, sitting; climbing (ladders, stairs, ramps, catwalks, stacks and the like as required); stooping; squatting; crouching; crawling; kneeling; reaching; grasping; pushing; pulling; lifting (min. 50lbs); feeling; talking and hearing
- Capable of performing repetitive motions as required.
- Required to have eyesight corrected at 20/40 to accurately read and interpret such as but not limited to instruments, gauges, and manuals.
- Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to – fall protection equipment, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses, arc-flash clothing, etc.

- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record and travel domestically
- Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing as well as able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions; Due to the work environment the noise level is usually moderate to high
- The position consists of 10% work indoors and 90% work outdoors, outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
- Ability to use a company-issued computer; or ability to learn service-level devices
- Knowledge of proper procedures when lifting / up to 50 lbs utilizing the necessary equipment if needed

- Salary Range: $38,335-$93,990, annually
- Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
- In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
