The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Group Manager, Applications Development in New York, NY, to coordinate all phases of the systems development and implementation process. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Building resilient and scalable financial systems and applications by applying knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages including COBOL and JAVA; Building high volume, real time financial applications that interface with other applications within an organization by applying knowledge of CICS; Designing and creating new tables, indices, and other configurations/functions to fulfill business requirements by applying knowledge of DB2; Establishing connectivity and interfacing with required applications within the financial systems for SWIFT message flows using IBM Message Queues (MQ); Creating DB2 Stored Procedures that can be invoked from Mainframe and distributed applications; Building, scheduling, and monitoring nightly batch archival process, account synchronization and database maintenance jobs within the applications using tools including JCL and ESP job scheduler; and Analyzing and debugging code within the financial systems and applications using tools including Dumpmaster, Tracemaster and FILE AID/INSYNC.
