Microsoft’s Global Demand Center (GDC) is responsible for driving scaled marketing and sales capabilities, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and innovating marketing & sales practices to deliver billions of dollars a year globally for all our commercial business solutions (Applications & Infrastructure, Business Applications, and Modern Workplace). We are looking for a seasoned technology leader to lead our Events Operations team. In this role, you will work directly with our Events stakeholders on program strategy and delivery approaches, while leading a team of technologists in a critical part of the organization supporting our global program executions. Your role is to set the standards for our Event delivery across our marketing teams worldwide and streamline the way they work. Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 10+ years experience in program management, process management, process improvement
- OR Master’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years program management experience, process management, process improvement
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years people management experience.
Business Program Management M5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 – $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 – $213,200 per year.

Responsibilities:
• Hiring, leading, developing, and retaining a diverse team of incredibly talented, innovative Marketing Technologists
• Understand and help business requirements for our Events Delivery platforms, working closely with our events stakeholders and capability teams to bring platform roadmaps to life.
• Be hands-on with your team in the end-to-end delivery of our various event types – from our Flagship events to centrally and locally developed content.
• Evaluate the performance of our Event demand generation, registration and delivery functions and determine improvements event over event.
• Work very closely with our support teams to triage production incidents, determine the severity and impact of the incidents, determine root cause, and implement both short term and long-term corrective actions.
• Partnering closely with our many stakeholder teams including Robotic Operations, Core Services Engineering, Operational AI, Capability, Operational Data, Marketing Service Center, Data Services, Analytics, and Field Marketing teams.
• Develop standard ways of operating and building within the events tech platform in a way that is robust, secure, efficient, accessible, sustainable, scalable.
• Prioritizing your team’s work and running an agile process in the context of our big bets, initiatives, business priorities, and aligning with other teams needed to deliver Event capabilities.
• Ensuring the launch of new event types and programs, and evolutions of the platform go smoothly (testing, post-launch monitoring & burn-in process, ensuring things are set up for long term success).
• Evolving and fortifying our event delivery systems and processes in an ever-growing complex environment.
• Ensuring business processes, system operations and other technical processes are well documented, so teams do not need to rely on tribal knowledge.
• Identifying problems and issues quickly, and running a process to communicate to stakeholders, assess impact, coordinate fixes across teams, and resolve issues.
• Understanding business and technical requirements and constraints, and leading and driving the effort to translate those requirements into strategic marketing solutions.
• Staying up to date on events operations trends and technology in the technical marketing landscape.
