Peacock’s Marketing and Paid Media experience needs to match the excitement of their content.
The Group Planning Director is the key liaison between the client, the Planning team, Investment teams, Business Intelligence, and the media community: providing leadership, strategic direction and input for the media and business plans. The Group Planning Director effectively leverages experience, knowledge and management skills to push innovative thinking; setting challenging goals and objectives. All while balancing client, company and team needs.
Some of the things we’d like you to do:
• Voice a strong POV, based on client objectives, media knowledge & communication goals
• Steward client relationship in a hands-on manner
• Establish and grow a strong relationship with the client through a demonstration of media expertise, and an understanding of client’s business
• Lead development of planning objectives and strategies that align with the client’s marketing direction
• Lead and manage all strategic channel planning activities
• Work with Comms Planning leadership to actively incorporate connection planning into client planning process
• Work with Investment Teams & media partners to develop first-to-market ideas
• Steward relationship with outside agency partners (creative, organic social, promotion, etc.)
• Ensure appropriate media tools are being used
• Manage and mentor Planning teams ensuring all team members are delegated work appropriate for their level and experience and that the team remains challenged and engaged
• Keep internal teams and clients accountable to deliverables, aware of implications for timing or strategic shifts and aligned on delivery goals
• Acts as a positive role model through example
• Work with analytic partners, internal and external, to gauge media performance and KPI’s to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met
• Challenge convention, inspire innovation & sell great ideas
• Work with Finance & Digital Investment on projects such as spend projections and pacing
• Continually improve team operations
• Proactively keep abreast of industry trends and share knowledge with team

Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Tenure on a brand forward account
• Experience in Media Planning across a range of media (Video, Audio, Connected Device, Digital, OOH, Social, etc.)
• Minimum 3 years as Media Director or similar experience
• Experience of managing more than one Planning sub-team
• Proven ability to delegate work, mentor, and manage a team of 10 or more staff
• Entertainment experience preferred
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $140,000 to $295,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
