The Growth Marketing Leader for Finance Buyer and Regions – North America (NA) will have experience and a proven track record of driving growth, developing and managing a marketing program based on buyer type and region, and delivering demand generation through integrated marketing & communications campaigns.
This Growth Marketing Leader for Finance Buyer and Regions – NA reports into the NA Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and has a helix reporting relationship into the US President and is a member of the US leadership team and the growth marketing regional leadership team. This Growth Marketing Leader partners with the regional Finance buyer focused solution lines and commercial leaders, primarily Wealth Solutions, to create a strategic marketing and communications plan that drives growth for Aon with the Finance buyer in the NA. This includes understanding the client segments, key industry and country requirements, in addition to tailoring the buyer journey and aligning relevant solutions to deliver client centric, integrated evergreen marketing programs that drive demand and pipeline. The Growth Marketing Leader directly collaborates with business leaders to deliver and activate integrated marketing programs which align with regional growth priorities and core business activities and highlight Aon’s retirement, investment, M&A and IP capabilities for the finance buyer.

What the day will look like
- Works closely with Regional Solution Line Business Leaders and NA CCO to build and deliver a robust marketing plan that aligns to regional growth priorities
- Close alignment with NA CMO and Global Insight CMOs to ensure regional insights and buyer needs are represented in all content & capabilities
- Works closely with NA Planning team to create regionally relevant, complete, Aon United demand-focused, multi-channel programs by buyer type, persona and company type that move clients through the funnel to become a Marketing Qualified Lead
- Tailors persona, buyer journey, message maps and priority solutions, focusing on driving demand for the region
- Sets regional key objectives for demand-focused programs and guides and supports Sub-Regional Growth Marketing Managers (as applicable) to plan and deliver activities that support regional growth priorities
- Be responsible for and provide direction for delivery of activity in plans ensuring the delivery of business outcomes against clearly defined success metrics.
- Reports back to business leaders on results of regional demand-focused programs
- Line management, performance, development, and engagement of a team of marketing professionals in NA (as applicable)
- Direct collaboration with Regional CMO to build and manage marketing budgets to improve marketing Return on Investment.
- Actively align with the Aon Story strategy, messaging and storytelling
How this opportunity is different
This role will be hybrid to either our downtown Chicago or NYC office.
The Growth Marketing Leader is the main liaison and regional contact for the Wealth Solutions business and Marketing and Communications function in North America. This person will work closely with our Global Insights (Solution Line) Marketing team and Content team as well as with colleagues across our Marketing & Communications Centers of Excellence: Communications, Events & Partnerships, Brand Strategy, Digital Marketing and Marketing Operations to deliver a globally aligned and consistent Aon United program that drives Aon’s overall market position and client experience.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- 10+ years of professional B2B and marketing communications experience
- MBA or an advanced degree a plus (e.g., Marketing/Communications, Business)
- Demonstrated success influencing C-level executives and cross-functional leaders in a complex, matrixed environment
- Demonstrated skills in messaging and positioning offerings
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to implement programs with speed, accuracy, and efficiency
- Record of driving analytics and campaigns to drive successful outcomes and desired return on investment. Understanding of business analytics, measurement, and dashboards.
- Financial services, retirement or investment marketing experience a plus, but not required

The salary range for this position is $115K to $160K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
