Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Sales Support Specialist focused on Growth related training curriculum and project management for our Federal and State & Local Government Business Development Professionals. Track, plan, and execute the development and delivery of courses that teach, both new and seasoned employees, how Peraton acquires business. Oversee Growth-related communication placed on the Peraton internal websites. Work with Growth leaders and Communications team to develop appropriate messaging and articles regarding Growth related topics. Manage small/medium sized projects as assigned, to include tracking action items, managing schedule, arrange meetings, develop, and administer communication, and develop project SharePoint site.
*Hybrid position – must be local to the northern Virginia area to facilitate in-person courses (Reston, VA).
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage Growth training related communication among course candidates, attendees, and faculty from the point of registration through in-person course delivery and survey/lessons learned debrief.
- Plan and facilitate training events to include location preparation, speakers (faculty) coordination, speaker time management.
- Conduct regularly scheduled training meetings, collaborating with leadership, faculty, and other stakeholders to facilitate content development and agendas.
- Own the class agendas, organize/update slide decks and artifacts, ensure course materials are provided, as well as meals/snacks for participants and faculty.
- Oversee Growth Mentor Program, a requirement of attendee certification.
- Promote Growth-related knowledge sharing and communications as the site administrator for Corporate Growth on the Lens
- Manage Corporate Growth Steering Committee – generating, editing, and posting articles working with the Growth functional team representatives.
- Provide project management for small to medium sized ad hoc projects as assigned – to include providing the leadership, tool expertise, and structure to accomplish project goal.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 10+ years of directly relevant experience in the Government market space. *See Education equivalency below.
- Minimum 8+ years supporting proposal and business development activities.
- Experience in event planning and delivery
- Familiarity with the business acquisition process
- Advanced skills using MS Office applications – expressly SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Organized, task oriented, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills – ability to work with individuals productively and professionally at all levels of the company.
- Fast learner, a self-starter, sense of urgency, and flexible
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
Preferred
- PMP certified.
- MS Project proficient
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology
*Education Equivalency: BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7; Experience in lieu of education will be considered.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
