Position Description
The current vacancy is an Extended Part-Time position (32 hours/week) that is benefit eligible. This position is nights and weekends.
Please note, first round interviews will be on 10/17/2023 at 10am.
The Guest Services Coordinator will ensure the highest quality customer service is provided to all visitors while providing leadership, support, and supervision to other staff during high volume times, primarily nights and weekends.
The purpose of the position is to perform on-going customer service duties while proactively anticipating the needs of guests, facilitating the smooth coordination of multiple events, providing information, and solving complex problems in a fair and consistent manner.
The Coordinator is responsible for interpreting and enforcing established rules, policies and procedures for all patrons and staff. The position will interact with a highly diverse group of visitors and will be instrumental in building stronger relationships with those groups. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe, fun, and welcoming environment.

Essential Functions
The duties of a Guest Services Coordinator include:
- Serve as the primary on-site contact person for staff and patrons, addressing questions, concerns, and complaints. This includes handling conflict in a professional and courteous fashion, following up with guests and supervisor on any incidents.
- The position provides supervision and leadership of scheduled events, programs and services in the building.
- Conduct facility walk-throughs and remain actively visible and engaged with staff and customers in the facility during open hours of operation.
- Assist with training, supporting and evaluating part-time guest service and concession staff.
- Point of sale operation and cash handling.
- Assist with class registrations, permits and reservations.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with entire staff team.
- Provide direction to volunteers.
- Complete financial, accident and incident reports and communicate to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Education and Experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Two years previous relevant customer service experience is required.
- Two years supervisory experience is preferred.
