Description
This full time employment opportunity is a position of dedication, service, caring, and compassion for helping at-risk youth and facilitating program planning and youth relationship building at the HALO Boys Program.
This position alternates days in the HALO JC Home office and evening hours in the Boys Program.
Responsibilities of the HALO JC Boys Program Facilitator position include:
HALO Boys Program Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement and manage all HALO Boys Program programming, engaging new youth in programs and focusing on quality of programs offered to Jefferson City homeless and at-risk youth.
- Assist Program Coordinator in volunteer recruitment and management in facilitation of HALO programs, empower and train key long-term volunteers to lead Art & Life Skill, tutoring and Professional Development programs.
- Measure outcomes of program successes, youth retention, meals served and other program data points, through administration of facilitation reports, program surveys and consistent data entry into Apricot. Lead intern in this area when possible.
- Assist in communication with community Program Grant Recipients, such as high schools, to discuss capacity and need of recipients as well as best course of action for the programming year. Responsible for keeping recipients aware of program opportunities, youth sign-up, and facilitation.
- Responsible for collaborating with JC Program Coordinator in planning and implementing pilot programs and individual services that respond to an identified community and/or youth need, empowering volunteers/student/intern to assist.
- Assist with planning and implementation of HALO Boys Program, events, including youth involvement and content in HALO headquarter events.
Office duties:
- Responsible for reporting on youth served, programs facilitated and meals served on a monthly basis to all HALO staff
- Assistance in raising awareness of HALO in the Jefferson City community through speaking engagements and relationship building, forming new ones to reach HALO mission.
- Promotion of HALO JC Boys greatest needs through utilization of wishlist and communication with Operations team to relay to HALO supporters.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must be passionate about helping youth in need. Previous experience working with at-risk populations is preferred.
- High school degree or equivalent with at least 3 years experience in a professional setting
- Must exhibit strong organizational and communication skills. Works well in a team atmosphere, highly motivated and take initiative on projects
- Candidates must have a clean driving record and obtain a Class E drivers license within 30 days of employment and pass a background check
- Must be at least 21 years of age
