Hardware Support Planner

Description
Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise a group of approximately 15 technicians charge of technical hardware support.
  • Set the project priorities, distribute the daily tasks and supervise outcomes.
  • Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance actions, both onsite and in the field.
  • Forecast and schedule field trips to complete in-field hardware repairs
  • Present project progress and outcomes to management periodically.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Candidates should have at minimum 2 years of fleet coordinating / management experience.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, proven analytical skills, preferably project management experience.
  • Privacy and handling of confidential information is inherent to each element of this program.
  • Excellent MS Office or equivalent skills.
  • Ability to work on an issue from various angles and to ask for help when needed.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and electronics troubleshooting.

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $30 – 35 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
