Senior Project Manager

Our continued growth has created an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager located in Bronx, NY for work at the Bronx Psychiatric Center.

The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

Responsibilities

  • Manage project team
  • Compile bi-weekly photos and a Project Health Assessment report
  • Monitor all schedules in Primavera P6 to ensure accuracy and timely completion of project work
  • Review monthly payments and track certified payrolls
  • Provide technical management for multiple trade contracts with coordination between the project team and contractors
  • Assist with evaluation of claims and develop mitigation plans to prevent schedule impacts
  • Coordinate and enforce the contract requirements with the contractors and staff
  • Monitor and enforce the project schedule, including project milestones
  • Assess impact of change requests on the project schedule and budget
  • Oversee safety and security at project sites
  • Coordinate Inspectors and to ensure work is in accordance with contract documents
  • Manage multi-contractor projects as well as contractor compliance with project documents
  • Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications
  • Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a role of Project Manager responsible for large-scale projects valued above $10 million, with an extensive knowledge of all facets of construction and construction documents
  • Ability to manage various projects using established controls and procedures
  • Provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, and quality
  • Experienced coordinating with designers handling any critical issues pertinent to the project or the client/facility
  • Full knowledge of the change order and cost review process and the review/approval of contractor’s payment application
  • OSHA 30 hour
