Responsibilities
This position is located at Crown College in Waconia, MN.
Coordinates and provides athletic training services for athletic programs at a college athletics level. Participates in other Mayo outreach activities, as available, as a representative of Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research. Delivers treatment to patients under the supervision of the physician and/or physical therapist in accordance with quality standards of the department. Further the role of the athletic trainer at the Sports Medicine Center (SMC) through the development of strategic goals, the documentation of information related to the care and referral of athletes, the formation of new programs and materials focused on wellness, injury prevention, and fitness for athletes.
Qualifications
A Master’s Degree in Athletic Training and certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Training, along with Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure is required. CPR certification is required. Minimum of two years of collegiate or professional athletic training experience is required. . Must be able to demonstrate clinical proficiency with good manual dexterity in order to manipulate treatment equipment. Must have strong communication and human relation skills to interact with clinicians, administrators, students, coaches, parents, etc. Five years’ experience working as an athletic trainer in a collegiate or professional setting is preferred. Experience in program development, resource allocation, and marketing of athletic training services is preferred.

Schedule Details
Generally will work late mornings and afternoons with some evening work for event coverage. May have some early mornings during some sports seasons to provide AT services to morning sports practices.
Weekend Schedule
There will be events on many of the Saturday’s during the school sports season and occasionally some Sunday’s to cover. Hours will be mornings and afternoons but may be some evenings in the winter months for some sports.
