HEAD CUSTODIAN needed full-time at Hermosa School starting immediately. Hours are 7 am-4 pm, but will vary due to school functions/activities and snow removal early in the mornings. Starting $18.25/hr with benefits. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of school building as needed throughout the day to ensure students and staff have a safe, comfortable, clean, and efficient learning environment. Directly responsible for the supervision and training of the building custodial staff. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Will maintain and service custodial equipment to ensure proper working condition. Must have good working knowledge of heating, cooling, and electrical systems in school building. Must fold and unfold cafeteria tables on a daily basis. Required to remove snow from sidewalks and parking lots around school facility. Required to mow and trim edges around property. Must be in good health and able to complete assigned duties and tasks and have physical strength sufficient to lift and move up to 75-100 lbs. on a frequent basis. Minimum three years of successful experience in the areas of maintenance, custodial and grounds keeping preferred.
