Head of Business Operations, Prime Video International Expansion

The Head of Business Operations for PV International Expansion will lead a group of program managers to deliver new Prime Video content to customers globally. This individual’s team will own the launches of “over-the-top” (OTT) Channels subscriptions and Transactional Video (Rent/Buy) products to customers around the world. The Head of Business Operations will partner with technology, product, and business stakeholders and will oversee a team that is responsible for the successful execution of PV’s expansion strategy. By coordinating across cross-functional counterparts on the business teams, content operations, content acquisition, product & engineering, merchandising, design, go-to-market, this individual will deliver a compliant, high quality product to customers. In addition, this individual will be responsible for leading or contributing to critical mechanisms and business reviews to ensure leadership and cross-functional teams are informed of all launch risks and statuses.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead a team of experienced program managers launching PV Channels and Rent/Buy (TVOD) products worldwide.
• Lead the team on capacity planning, organization, and execution of complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders.
• Partner with Product teams to develop and implement scalable solutions for Prime Video’s Marketplace expansion strategy.
• Work with cross-functional teams such as Content Acquisition, Marketing, Local Business, Finance, Legal, Accounting, Tax, and Design to develop long-term, durable operating procedures for launching Channels & TVOD businesses at scale.
• Provide thought leadership to develop operating procedures for new offer types as customer tastes and Prime Video’s technology evolves over time.
• Partner with local Business leaders across PV’s growing Channels & TVOD footprint to establish a forward-looking partner launch roadmap.
• Establish goals for the team based on business needs and report out on goal progress.
• Ensure cross-functional resource capacity and allocation for PVMX goal success.
• Ensure transparency, prioritization, and clear communication of PVMX programs and their resource impacts to L8 and L10 leadership.
• Serve as the single-threaded leader for non-technical program management for PVMX, including serving as the point of escalation for customer impacting issues related to Channels & TVOD launches.

About the team

The Prime Video Marketplace Expansion team is responsible for launching Prime Video Channels (3rd party video subscriptions) and Transactional Video on Demand (TVOD) to customers globally. This team seeks to deliver new selection to customers globally by launching these product offerings in new international locales.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of team management experience
  • 7+ years of cross functional project delivery experience, or a MBA and 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience defining and executing program requirements
  • Experience managing teams of 6 or more

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience and understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain desired.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
