STV, Inc. is a leading national professional services firm providing engineering, architectural, planning, environmental and program management and construction management services, is seeking an experienced communications professional to join our team of talented storytellers and brand promoters.
STV has an opening for a Head of Communications, Northeast Transportation. This will be located in one of our offices in the New York, Boston, or Philadelphia areas.
Applicants who can write in various voices for a versatile range of mediums will thrive in this role. Candidates with agency experience or industry knowledge are encouraged to apply.
This position can be located in various offices in our Northeast region and operates within a hybrid in-office/remote model. The head of communications for the Northeast region will report to STV’s head of communications.
Responsibilities:
- Working with leaders of the Northeast region and throughout the firm to identify and write content for STV’s owned channels including the intranet, company blog and other communications channels as needed
- Developing and writing thought leadership that support STV’s strategic plan and business priorities
- Partnering with the department’s media, content and creatives teams to share the stories and successes of STV projects and people efficiently and effectively
- Tracking key deadlines for industry events and project milestones
- Staying up to date on industry trends to make recommendations for new communications
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in a communications or marketing role
- Highly detailed with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively, excellent time management
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
- An analytical mind with a natural curiosity to learn more about STV’s people and work
- Knowledge and sincere interested in infrastructure and ESG best practices
- Ability to work independently with self-imposed deadlines
