We’re looking for our first Head of Ecommerce, who will own and execute on our ecommerce strategy. As our Head of Ecommerce, you will be responsible for digital merchandising across all ecommerce channels, driving revenue growth by analyzing and optimizing the customer journey, and managing day-to-day execution with a focus on conversion. As an early member of the team, you’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional partners across the business to ensure our online business objectives are aligned with the overall brand strategy.

Responsibilities & Duties

    • Develop and execute the ecommerce strategy and site operations for viavia.live. This will be inclusive of managing online user experience, digital merchandising, consumer journey optimization, and day-to-day execution while always focusing on conversion.
    • Manage the ecommerce roadmap including prioritizing and managing important site upgrades to support an omnichannel business and creating and implementing A/B testing sitewide while maintaining e-commerce budget.
    • Own all ecommerce metrics, analysis, and reporting, and partner with leadership to better understand where we can improve on the customer journey.
    • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of industry and ecommerce trends and tools, using insights to optimize conversion lift and channel personalization; monitor developing ecommerce technology trends, evaluate business opportunities, recommend, and execute new initiatives.
    • Manage ecommerce content strategy and promotional calendar with Head of Product and Planning partners that’s fully integrated and consistent.

Experience & Skills

    • 7+ years of ecommerce experience, with a proven track record of owning ecommerce strategy, preferably with a digitally native or multi-brand business.
    • Strong knowledge of ecommerce site operations and ecommerce technology, platforms, and payment processing systems.
    • Ability to collect, analyze and report on ecommerce data and clearly and succinctly articulate data stories and recommended actions. An entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyze complex processes, synthesize data and drive toward optimal commercial solutions.
    • Works with a high sense of urgency and integrity, easily and quickly adapts to change, and is motivated by deadlines and new challengesStrong verbal and written communication skills; can patiently and effectively communicate with a diverse and multicultural group of peers across time zones and continents
    • Nimble, scrappy and adaptable.
    • Can roll with the punches and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment, including pitching in to support other persons and teams.
    • A positive, can-do attitude. You’re not deterred by minor setbacks and are able to swiftly overcome ambiguity.
    • Will consistently cultivate a culture of inclusion where all team members feel a sense of belonging and can bring their authentic selves to work.
    • Ability to travel as needed, including internationally.
    • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office programs and other workload management programs.
    • Bonus points for experience in the fashion space.

$150,000 – $180,000 a year

Competitive compensation $150,000 – $180,000, including generous equity in a well-funded environment. This role’s level, job title and corresponding salary will be determined by the selected candidate’s professional experiences and related skill sets.
