Head of Policy Operations, Advertising Policy & Integrity

This is your opportunity to lead a team to that is reinventing how ads are moderated for policy compliance. The goal of this team is threefold: 1) provide a better experience for our advertisers, 2) protect customers from advertisements that do not comply with our Advertising Policies, 3) provide clear guidance for advertisers to improve. You will set a vision for achieving these three objectives and leading a team to deliver and operate. This is a role that can drive both top line and bottom-line improvements.

The role requires knowledge of strategy, policy creation and execution, advertising product and ecosystem, P&L management, and more.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for the Head of Advertising Policy Operations to develop the vision for the next iteration of policy moderation and enforcement in accordance with advertising policies and business needs. This role will own a high-level advertising goal that will be closely watched by the most senior leaders in Amazon Advertising. The Head of Advertising Policy Operations will work across Amazon businesses to evaluate data and build enforcement mechanisms to scale policy enforcement and eliminate problematic advertising submissions. Your team will also develop and improve external and internal policy communications and training material.

About the team

Advertising is one of the fastest growing businesses at Amazon and that growth generates challenges in managing huge volumes of advertising submissions while maintaining a high customer experience and working at the speed that advertisers demand. As part of the Advertising Policy & Integrity team, you will have high visibility across Amazon business lines, helping to establish the right customer experience and long-term strategy for the success of Amazon Advertising. We are a global and diverse team with a long tenure in online advertising and expertise in developing customer experience solutions for highly sensitive and restricted categories of advertising.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of team management experience
  • 7+ years of cross functional project delivery experience, or a MBA and 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience defining and executing program requirements
  • Experience managing teams of 6 or more
  • 4+ years hands-on experience scaling operations and building efficient processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
