The AWS World-Wide Field Enablement (WWFE) Organization is responsible for end-to-end enablement across all customer facing role.
We are seeking an experienced leader to join us as the Head of World-Wide Commercial Sales (WWCS) Field Enablement leading sales and field enablement across a large and diverse set of AWS customers. This senior leadership role leads our Field Enablement teams across APJ, EMEA, North America and Latin America to define our vision and strategy, to build and land execution plans to build sales capability across our field teams and provide our customers with the most highly skilled teams to support their adoption of cloud services and achieve their business outcomes.
You will be responsible for defining, landing and executing against our enablement strategic priorities from the initial onboarding of new teams (“onboarding”) through to continuous “ever-boarding” of teams across our portfolio of offerings and solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring the field teams are well-equipped with the content, training, knowledge of available resources, and core curriculum necessary to effectively sell AWS’s current and new service offerings and includes sales coaching, analyses, metrics, and tools definition to support our field teams. The leader of this team will be part of the World-Wide Field Enablement Leadership team to operate as one team and create a culture of continuous learning that includes just-in-time and event-driven technical and sales materials that improves acumen and productivity while simultaneously delighting AWS customers.
The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units, as well as across other geographies. This is a hands-on position – the ideal candidate must be willing to “roll up the sleeves” and get things done.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Create and articulate a training and enablement strategic vision, plan, and staffing model that provides the training, resources, skills, and tools needed for the global sales team to meet and exceed their plan target.
• Define and develop competency models for every role type, including training, assessments, certifications, and localization as necessary.
• Build and define learning paths for onboarding and ever-boarding training programs across all field audiences. Collaborate with sales leaders and cross-functional teams to define, prioritize and align programs with local priorities and training opportunities
• Perform detailed needs assessments in coordination with the Sales Leadership, Marketing, Services, Business Development, Solutions Architects, Professional Services, Partner team and Operations. Translate business needs into a sales enablement plan for each sales leader.
• Develop and maintain an effective governance process focused on providing timely and targeted content for sales enablement and continuously improving the field knowledge transfer and learning needs.
• Design and implement metrics to measure training programs and impact, effectiveness, appropriateness, and utility. Measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement investments.
• Review and manage the existing content library to determine opportunities to improve the learning experience, ensure the content is current and relevant and best technology is employed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Solid experience in technology related sales support and/or business development
• BA/BS degree
• Strong experience in leading and managing Global teams as a manager of managers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, SharePoint and Salesforce
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Masters degree preferred
• Prior experience of working in a technology company in a sales organization
• Proven experience of leading, motivating and developing future talent
• Experience working with, and/or having knowledge of cloud computing and existing cloud technologies, AWS Cloud Practitioner
• Exhibits sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership and leading data backed analyses

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
