Assistant Media Planner

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Media Planner coordinates everyday media operations and requires working closely with all staff levels, including other departments within the agency, external vendors and business partners in the planning, execution and administration of media activities on behalf of the client.

Garage Team Mazda offers a flexible working environment which is a blend of onsite work (three days in office) to allow for purposeful collaboration, community and connectivity with colleagues.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the online media team with day-to-day operations, including media research and analysis, planning, buying, campaign administration and reporting
  • Interact with outside vendors and external business partners regarding various facets of client media activity, such as assembly of media authorizations, billing, insertion orders and report procurements
  • Assist in the development of tactical components of client media campaigns, such as flowcharts, spreadsheets and budget summaries
  • Assist in daily campaign administration, including tracking, report preparation and trafficking of creative units
  • Ownership of vital documentation, binders and maintenance of media library
  • Primary initial point of contact with media vendors and publishers

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • High comfort level with technology: PC proficient and familiarity with MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Formal coursework in math, statistics and computational analytics a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, or closely related field
  • Strong interest in interactive media/marketing
  • Energetic, organized and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior work or internship experience in an advertising agency or similar environment, interactive experience highly desirable

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $35,000 – $75,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
