Job Duties
Accountable for the governance, alignment, assurance, management, integration, optimization, tracking, finances, infrastructure, planning, and improvement of the health care activities and service at a Major Correctional Facility.
Oversees scheduling, ordering, and technical performance of organizational programs. Participates in proposal development, contract negotiations and contract compliance. Ensures master health care plans and schedules are followed, developing solutions to program challenges, and directing others for successful completion of project(s) and program(s) on time and on budget.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with relevant management practices/principles in the health care field
Knowledge of healthcare administration and management
Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects and/or programs and respective resources to accomplish strategic healthcare needs of the facility
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively as well as lead and direct the work of others
Significant prior work experience in planning and organizing the activities of a large and/or complex medical unit
Additional Considerations
Experience working in a VADOC correctional medical setting
