We have an immediate opening for a Home Designer in Tampa, FL
Highly competitive hourly rate, plus commission. A Sales and Design Associate meeting target goals can expect to make an average of $2,400 per month with no cap on potential earnings.
Compensation $13-$18/hr based on experience
SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for performing sales and design duties both within a retail environment and to customers in their homes/businesses. Designers provide knowledgeable product information and specifications. Specific job responsibilities shall be in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws while ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment and efficient operations. Occasional nights and weekend appointments, including Sundays, necessary as business requires.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide expert knowledge of kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and complementary items such as flooring, hardware or countertops within store and the customer’s home or business.
- Educate customers on specific product features, comparisons and pricing.
- Identify customer needs and preferences in order to create a design that is esthetically pleasing and within the customers specifications.
- Create concise work orders and coordinate installations; overseeing client projects to completion
- Work with store manager to set personal sales goals and lead generation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with outside contractors, designers, and other businesses that utilize kitchen design services and purchase kitchens.
- Keep up to date with knowledge of products in catalog.
- Excel in customer service while presenting a friendly, positive attitude.
- Fulfill basic store maintenance duties.
- Assist in loading or offloading of product (will vary from store to store)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Regular attendance and punctuality are required as a full-time employee in order to perform all the essential functions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cabinet sales and/or design.
- Design degree or certification and/or exhibits expert level skills in 2020 design software helpful.
- Successful sales and lead generation in cabinet/flooring industry.
- Retail POS system.
