Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

At Cadmus, our Homeland Security Line of Business provides clients with solutions to their most important analytical and policy challenges. We bring together a team of outstanding professionals who have earned a reputation of responsive and client-focused support for a wide range of homeland security and emergency preparedness agencies. Our client-oriented approach, coupled with our deep subject-matter expertise, enables us to bring an incisive edge to solving the most critical homeland security problems.

Cadmus seeks qualified candidates to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with preparedness, readiness, and resilience efforts across the agency. Analysts have varied analytical, program support, and administrative responsibilities-such as research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, coordinating stakeholder engagements, supporting meetings, and preparing reports and briefings for senior government officials and the public. Projects may include program evaluations, stakeholder outreach, case study development, and briefings for FEMA leadership.

Successful candidates will have experience conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis and will have excellent written and oral communications skills. Candidates must also demonstrate flexibility and the ability to collaborate. This is an entry-level position, and both recent graduates and those with a few years of relevant experience are invited to apply. Preference given to candidates with an interest in emergency management.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preparedness-related research and analysis to develop products such as reports, guidance, program evaluations, and tailored communications on homeland security, process, and policy-related topics
  • Generate assessments, reports, memoranda, and presentations tailored for government clients
  • Identify and assess preparedness-related data
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to collect preparedness-related data
  • Collect technical data and information to support development of reports, technical documentation, and training materials for government clients
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to draw conclusions from preparedness data
  • Support development of COVID-19 After-Action Reports through a combination of data collection and analysis
  • Assist in drafting of guidance for human service providers in the wake of a disaster
  • Support projects related to biodefense and chemical security

Qualifications

  • A relevant Master’s degree with zero to two years of experience. Relevant education and experience include education/experience related to public policy/administration, homeland security, emergency management, or other social science
  • Ability to earn a security clearance and/or DHS Suitability – requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Proficiency in relevant software programs, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Preference given to those with relevant experience in the emergency management and/or homeland security field
  • Strong research, analysis, and communication (written and oral) skills and attention to detail
  • Limited travel may be required post-COVID

Additional Information:

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $60,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
