This specific role sits within our Global Platform and Data Services (PDS) Product Team which is part of our Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) function within our Institutional Client Group (ICG). Our team manages a portfolio of products specifically designed to let our corporate clients access their day-to-day banking needs remotely (via File / Host-to-Host, SWIFT or API). Whether a client is looking to make payments to suppliers, collect money from customers, run their payroll or retrieve electronic bank statements – we offer several direct integration options with their ERP, TMS or other in-house application via our award-winning digital banking suite of products: CitiConnect for Files, CitiConnect for SWIFT and CitiConnect API.
What Will You Do?
You will sit within the CitiConnect for Files (our host-to-host product) and CitiConnect for SWIFT global product team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Understand markets and users through surveys and research
- Understand the competitor landscape and where we are ahead or behind on our product feature set
- Gather, review, and prioritize product capability requests from external and internal stakeholders
- Help define product strategy and roadmap
- Clearly define EPICs and prioritize based on product vision and roadmap
- Support Product Owners with decomposing EPICs into User Stories
- Maintain an active feedback loop with external and internal stakeholders for each product increment
- Conduct system demo’s and support our Sales, Client Relationship and Client On-Boarding Teams with collateral and training
- Defining, tracking, and reporting of your product key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Own the resolution plan and delivery for any risks related to your product – data quality, regulatory, vulnerability, etc.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone that will be laser focused on client experience and can help push our products forward in terms of innovative thinking, defining industry leading features and capabilities both for our external customers and the internal stakeholders who help support our products. Here are a few of the key attributes we will be looking for as part of the recruitment process:
- 3-5 years’ experience in the digital banking or payments space where you have either been involved in defining product requirements (e.g. product manger or product owner) or have in-depth knowledge of this space via working directly with these types of product (e.g. client on-boarding, servicing and support at a bank or a corporate)
- Excellent communication skills – ability to alter communications approach depending on your audience – level of seniority, technical acumen, internal vs. external, etc.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and vice-versa
- Evidence-based decision making – ensuring that there is always logic to the decisions you make
- (Highly preferable) – experience of digitizing and automating the client on-boarding journey for a product
- (Preferable) – experience of using JIRA to manage agile delivery of product enhancements
- (Preferable) – a whizz at being able to tell a story via PowerPoint – visually and succinctly.
